BRIDGE BALL
   Strait of Gibraltar

Reach the end of the bridge
Fall off into the net below
  Watch out for the cannonfire

The contestant has to cross a narrow unstable bridge to the other side, while carrying a golden ball.
While they're on the bridge, guards will fire balls at the contestants, from a cannon, to try and knock them off.

Variations
Ep#
5 The First Bridge
The bridge is just 30cm wide. For this, and the next seven appearances of the game, there is no ball to carry.
6+ The Second Bridge
The bridge is now 50cm wide.
8+ Double-Barreled
A second cannon is added, doubling the number of balls fired at contestants.
9 & 10 Rocks On
Three fake rocks are fixed to the top of the bridge, which contestants must climb around.
The rocks are bigger in episode 10.
12 & 14 Rocking Up and Down
Fake rocks are now attached to the underside of the bridge, as well as on top, to stop contestants from hanging underneath.
13, 17+ The Golden Ball
The rocks are removed.
From now the first cannon belongs to the General - from which he (or the contestant's child/partner in Family and Couple episodes) fires a ball that the contestant must catch, and carry across the bridge. Contestants must take this ball with them to the other side to win the game.
If a contestant drops the ball they can go back and catch another.
130 Made in Taiwan
Contestants play the Taiwanese version of Bridge Ball in this special episode; in which the bridge is longer than the original.
Both cannons are manned by the guards, so the General stands on the starting platform and throws the golden ball to the contestants when they're on the bridge.

 BGM:  "Combat!" Theme

The bridge is 25 metres long.
In some early games, the guards would shake the bridge to try and topple the contestants.
